Cheats + Specific Game Config does not work together

Cheats + Specific Game Config does not work together
As the title says, if you create a specific game config the cheats won't work for that particular game anymore. The game config needs to be deleted if you wish to use any cheat on it.

I have a particular game that I use with a different configuration and I'm not able to use the 60 fps cheat because of it.

I hope this minor inconvenience gets the developers attention.

Keep up the awesome work dudes.

RE: Cheats + Specific Game Config does not work together
Which ppsspp version are you using.
Works fine here(I have couple of games on which I use 60fps codes and they all work)

Using PPSSPP on Windows 7 x64 SP1
i7 4771 3.5Ghz,GTX750TI,16GB RAM

RE: Cheats + Specific Game Config does not work together
Are you certain that it works with the specific game config?, I can confirm that it does not work.

I'm using the latest revision by the way "v1.1.0-2-g94477df"

This is what I'm talking about, if you enable this the cheat will not work:

RE: Cheats + Specific Game Config does not work together
Yes,it's definitely working...this is what i just did
1.Download the latest beta and extract the archive
2.Copied my SYSTEM and Cheats folders to the beta\memstick\PSP folder
3.Tried 3 games on which I use 60fps patch

All 3 games were running at 60fps and when I restarted ppsspp=>disable the cheats from System for one of the games and then tried it,the game was running at 30fps

I also tried to delete the setting for one of those games(I restarted ppsspp after that)and create it again and enabled the cheats and the game was again running at 60fps

You do know that ppsspp read the cheats from memstick\PSP\Cheats folder right...it's been like this for a long time but before(I don't know which version you used before that)ppsspp was reading the cheats from the cheats folder inside the ppsspp.exe folder

RE: Cheats + Specific Game Config does not work together [FIXED]
Thank you for taking your time to respond. It is odd that I'm having this issue then. Yes I'm aware that the cheat works fine and the cheats are indeed located in: PPSSPP\memstick\PSP\Cheats

However, for some reason the cheat stop working after I create the game config as shown in the above picture.

Am I the only one having this issue?

Edit:

Alright, I was able to fix it. To resolve this issue I needed to create the game config "after" the cheat is loaded. If the cheat is not loaded and you create the game config the cheat will not work when you try to enable it afterwards. The cheat needs to be loaded first, once loaded you are able to create the game config and the cheat will work with no issue.

RE: Cheats + Specific Game Config does not work together
On my default configurations(those settings which I use on games without game specific settings)the cheats are not enabled.
I just right click on the game, click on the button to create the settings, configure whatever I want(including enabling the cheats)and run the game.

RE: Cheats + Specific Game Config does not work together
Please try this out, I can confirm that it won't work if you do it like this:

1 - Disable Cheats:

2 - Open the game and create the game config:

3 - Enable Cheats:

4 - If you go to the game again the Cheat won't be there: (Closing and opening PPSSPP again won't fix it, the cheat won't be visible...)

5 - However, if you delete the game config the cheat will appear again.

This is the reason the cheat was not working for me before. The cheat needed to be enabled before the game config is created.

RE: Cheats + Specific Game Config does not work together
I'm not at home to try it but I think you are doing something wrong here.

Just for a test do this:
1.Download the latest beta and start=>close it(to create the folders)
2.Copy your Cheats folder to the correct location in the ppsspp beta folder.
3.Start ppsspp and right click on the game
4.Click on the button to create the settings and click on the settings button.
5.Change your settings and enable the cheats
6.Go back and run the game

To make everything work correctly,I think you have to create the settings OUTSIDE the game, not while playing.

RE: Cheats + Specific Game Config does not work together
Thank you!, your above method also worked with no issue.

Thanks to your above method I was able to see why it was not working for me before and yeah, it was a newbie mistake from my part.

The issue I was having was because I was running the game first (with the cheat disabled from the global settings) and when I opened the game I press "ESC" to go to the game menu, there I create the game config but the game config was being created with the Cheat disabled because it was actually disabled from the global settings. After I close PPSSPP to open it again I try to enable the cheat from the global setting and when I run the game again the cheat is not visible because the game config was already created with the cheat disabled... (in this case I needed to actually enable the cheat from the game config not the global settings).

Can't believe I made a newbie mistake like that.

Thank you for helping dude, I really appreciate it.
