Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow
Title: Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow
Genre: Third-Person Shooter
Region: North America
Format: CSO
Version: v0.7.6-61-gc675a9b
OS: Android
Device: Unrooted Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic 4G Touch
Compatibility: Loading Screen
Notes: Game boots and the loading icon rotates once then it locks up and shows only a black screen. On several of the settings I tried it would actually crash my app.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about any games, the settings I use to get them to work, just to chat, or... well anything really haha. If I help maybe give me +1 Rep?

RE: Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow
Well i have the solution..

1-First open the Syphon filter LS ISO with UMDGen.(v4.00)
2-Then go to PSP_GAME/USRDIR
3-Find "LS.PRX" then right click on it.
4-Choose "Extract Selected" and extract it to a folder. (Preferably the same folder as the game.)
5-Once extracted, rename it "EBOOT.BIN"
6-Then go to UMDGen again and choose "SYSDIR" this time.
7-You will see "EBOOT.BIN", drag your renamed file here and replace with it.
8-Then go to "File", "Save as", then "Uncompressed (*.iso)"
9-Choose your directory and save it, then open the newly created iso with PPSSPP (9.1 or 9.5, didn't try other versions since no need to) and start the game.

Can be slow and laggy on 9.1, but setting frameskipping to 1 should do the trick. On 9.5, it's the same but speed and other things are better a little. And if you wanna watch the cinematics just turn it to "Buffered Rendering", otherwise it's all black...

However it crashes after 5-6 min on the first mission...

Can you try this with the latest git build? A log would be helpful.

RE: Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow
Same for me, on the 2 syphon game (dark mirror and logan's shadow) all work fine but I have random crash every 5 /10 min.
it's a ppsspp crash, I have tried different configurations. The crash is never at same place and totally random.
I m using 0.9.9.1.

The end of the log:

RE: Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow
0.9.9.1 is not the latest git build. It's like 4-5 months and ~1400 changes old.

Look at the download page near the bottom.

RE: Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow
Effectively, with new version it's better, I have finished the first mission without problem for the moment. But we need to make a new start, all the old savestates make the crash (only for theses 2 games)

ppsspp crashes
I have beaten several games using this psp emulator and it worked fine, except Syphon Filter - Dark Matter and Logan's Shadow. In episode 5 of Logan's Shadow after the tank fired to the barrier before trying to across the bridge the game crashes all the time. Therefore I am unable to continue. I don't know if anyone has the same or similar problem as I do? And if anyone who know how to solve this problem please let me know. Thanks so much!
