RE: 3ds homebrew emulators
Short answer: no. Never will 3ds be emulating PSP. It might not even be able to emulate n64..

And how did you get in that conclusion!? The hardware specs are good enough to emulate N64 and PS1. About PSP, I’ll let the specialists to answer!!

I was an Xperia Play gamer until my dog ate my beloved phone!

Now I’m an Xperia ZL/ZQ gamer!
Quad-Core 1.5 GHZ
2GB RAM

It works better, but i miss the gamepad!! T_T'

RE: 3ds homebrew emulators
There is definetly no way 3ds can emulate psx or psp maybe n64. Go on ask on gba temp (3ds hacking section)
People will just laugh at your stupidity..

RE: 3ds homebrew emulators
Maybe Howdareme has a point...

I've read in some articles/guides that there are only a few selection of slot-1 flashcarts that can emulate GBA on NDS. The compatibility, though, is REALLY BAD. Slot-2 flashcarts have better compatibility but there's only one brand that works. Not to mention, I don't think anyone owns a NDS with slot-2 (lite) anymore.

I think there's a specific reason why NDS can't emulate other systems properly (even its own predecessor) and that same reason applies for 3DS as well. (I think I've read what it is, I just can't remember it.)

Anyway, if you want a handheld console to emulate PSX, N64, or GBA, get a PSP!
That system is powerful enough for that. Tongue

And don't mention high-tech handheld systems. I want to keep it old-school. Cool

Well, i can get it!! Maybe you are right, it would be impossible due other reasons than hardware specs as RAM memory or Processor.

About 4 years ago, I had the first LG optimums, with really low specs. It could emulate PS1 and N64. It was very laggy, but it was possible to play!

Thats simply not making any sense .
PS1 emulation is not a big deal , seriously ! Even the Galaxy Y with 800mhz processor runs PS1 quite well. And n64 is even simpler.
3DS according to my knowledge has Dual Core ARM 11 processor with a lot better graphic card. I think 3DS can flawlessly run n64 and PS1 .
Yeah , PPSSPP seems out of question because it requires a lot more ram and bigger processor.

The Signature!
