Phantasy Star Portable help

Every time I start up the game it shows everything up to where it tells me to continue or new game, I click on the new game and I cant progress, the screen freezes. I don't know how to fix this could anyone help?

Which version of the game (e.g. US, EU, JP, etc.?) What version and platform (0.7 release, git build, Windows, Android...)?

It goes to character selection for me on Windows with a US version.

I'm using Xperia play, PPSSPP 0.7, US version, and my settings are Sound(x) Buffed(x) Hardware(x) Draw(x) Vertex(x) JIT(x) Fast(x) Tilt(x)

It sometimes going into characterscreen but it won't move or anything just makes sound
