Mac user asks...pls help.

Hi. I am new to this emulator business and i'll try and ask questions within the rules.

I am a Mac user and have PPSSPP app downloaded from the Google Play Store on my Android phone (the Xperia Z2). If i were to transfer a game to my phone using a cable via this Android File Transfer software do i dump the file into any part of my phone or do i need to create a folder (like "PSP" or something) first before uploading the file?
