Audio Stuttering on KitKat.

So I recently installed PPSSPP on my new droid (specs below), and everything runs perfectly except the audio has heavy stuttering. I've done some research after I read every manual I could find and I see a few people with similar issues who solved it by installing an audio plugin. I've played with the settings and I dont think its a power issue.

However I read in the changelog that the audio plugin was no longer necessary so I'm kind of confused as to what the issue might be. Am I missing something in instillation, I got it from the Play store from the official channel so it was the correct build. The only other tidbit I found was someone saying the audio wasn't fully developed. If anyone has any advice or pointers on where I could learn more or even some suggestions I'd be much obliged.

P.S. If I have the HW scaler set up to native resolution (1080p in landscape) do I need to do run the rendering resolution any higher than 1x?
