How to enable the analog button thing?
While I was playing some games on ppsspp , I pressed the analog button on my joystick so the dpad buttons will work. Without pressing the analog button , the dpad buttons will not work. I think I pressed the anolog button too hard so it went inside and won't come out. Right now I can't press any buttons on the dpad right now . How do I enable that analog on my joystick, its squashed inside the joystick ?

The only way to enable that analog button that I know right now is by using a pen and press it, but the analog button will not come
back up

this can help you without fixing ur gamepad

http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=12513

and btw try to use screwdriver and unscrew (lol is that a bad word?) it than open it and check if you can use super glue or replace part that is broken

if you will open your gamepad and make screenshot and post it here i could help you by telling you will you need to replace it or will you be able to fix it by ur self

but 1st try AntiMicro

Try AntiMicro graphical program used to map keyboard keys and mouse controls to a gamepad/controller.

RE: How to enable the analog button thing?
When you mapped the buttons, was the analog enabled? Because if you have mapped the controls with the analog disabled, the analog will work as dpad and, even if you enable the analog after mapping, the dpad won't work and the analog still will be working as dpad. It already happened with me, may be the samething with you.

as i understand it he cant enable his analog i was hoping he could make 1 set for analog 1 set for d-pad and map R2 button or L2 to switch them both way or while held

RE: How to enable the analog button thing?
I thought anti micro was just something like joy to key

Problems with my gamepad
When the analog is not enabled, the buttons I pressed on d pad are the same as the left stick.
Example, the left stick mappings are IJKL.

The dpad mappings are up down left right.

Without the analog enabled , the dpad buttons will be IJKL

With the analog enabled the dpad will be up down left right.

And also without the analog enabled , my right stick works the same way button 1 2 3 4 ( the area were we press triangle square circle x).

I can't get a photo of my game pad right now because my ipads dead, ( probably the charger is not working). Its battery is 0% and my charger is not working).

RE: How to enable the analog button thing?
AntiMicro is way more advanced and i know exactly what is your problem cause all my gamepads works in the same way

i was just hoping u could create 2 sets in AntiMicro and than hold R2 for example to have different functions on analogs

cause without physical fixing ur gamepad you have no other way to solve ur problem

RE: How to enable the analog button thing?
Can't understand what is happening exactly, it's a bit confuse. For all buttons work correctly the analog need to be enabled when mapping. As I said, something like this happened with me. I had mapped the controls on PPSSPP with the analog disabled, then the analog and dpad was working as the same buttons, by enabling the analog later, it still worked but the dpad didn't work. For everything work well, I needed to remap the buttons, this time with analog enabled. You didn't respond me if you mapped the buttons with analog enabled or disabled. I'm also not saying that your problem is the same as mine, but I'm trying to help.

RE: How to enable the analog button thing?
look this is simple gamepad

http://mlv-s1-p.mlstatic.com/control-gam...2013-F.jpg

when you turn on PC while its plugged in or if you plug it in to pc while pc on than analog button is disabled by default

that results in left analog work as d-pad buttons and right analog work as face buttons (1234 ones)

when you press analog button it switch to active and now both analogs works as separate buttons than when it was in disabled analog mode

i believe that is cause native windows drivers cant handle (or was never programed to have gamepads with analogs) and so they made a work around to it instead of forcing u to install drivers to ur gamepad in analog button that adds extra 2 analog buttons (+8 buttons in total)

jimmy hopkins problem is the fact that he smashed/destroyed that button and it wont work any more he can press it but it just wont work and right now AntiMicro is only way around of which i can think of

cause i never heard about native drivers for gamepad that have analogs enabled by default but who knows maybe they exist

Hum, OK. I didn't understand what happened. If his controller is broken or something, won't even work.

RE: How to enable the analog button thing?
i just purchased new gamepad it did come with drivers on cd

even so windows detected all buttons after i pressed analog button

after installing drivers WHEN ANALOG BUTTON IS OFF right analog still works as right face buttons but left analog works just fine and it does not work as dpad

still i need to enable analog button to gain proper control over right analog but left works just fine

so maybe try to find drivers for your gamepad on google and at last you will save 1 analog

on back of ur gamepad you should have sticker with model name google that
