PPSSPP for windows black screen problem
Good day guys! I'm kinda new here. And I immediately ran into a problem.
I just downloaded PPSSPP version 0.9.9 but I can't get the game to work. After selecting a game, its just black. I'm sure the game works because I can hear audio. But I can't play it because of the black screen. btw, the game is Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions Thanks guys |

RE: PPSSPP for windows black screen problem
Ensure that you've set the Rendering Mode to "Buffered Rendering" in the Graphics Settings, this particular game requires it to work properly.
PPSSPP Modern Testbed:- Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz 16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz Windows 7 x64 SP1 PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:- Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz 8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz Windows 7 x64 SP1 |

I've tried it. It has display. But everytime I press the "Enter" button ( which is the one I set for the "Start" button) the screen goes black

RE: PPSSPP for windows black screen problem
Could you head to the System Information screen in PPSSPP (Settings -> System -> Developet Tools -> System Information) and attach a screenshot of that section in your next reply please?
For example, here's mine:- Just trying to cover all our bases here. (08-05-2014 12:01 PM)IdleSkyPirate Wrote: here Thanks for that. Next step would be to get you to update those Intel Integrated Drivers from Intel's website. But before that, there have been fixes pushed for the game recently. Get one of the latest git builds from the official buildbot (currently v0.9.9-68-g404766c), and try again with the default settings. RE: PPSSPP for windows black screen problem
Still doesn't work. Looks like I need to update stuff.
also, if I let the game run through its opening without pressing anything, I would get to the title screen, then it will go black. Still didn't work. Or maybe I'm just too sleepy at the moment. I'll try again tomorrow. Thanks for the help though |

When you select buffered rendering, you have to restart the PPSSPP Currently running ULUS10297 just fine. Thanks solarmystic, not sure how you knew to do this particular fix, but worked great for me! |

RE: PPSSPP for windows black screen problem
Been like 6 months since I last posted. I greatly appreciate all the help so far. Sadly, I still can't get it to work on my laptop. I'm very sure the game works. I've tried it on an actual PSP system. I think I'm gonna try this on another computer. Maybe its because my laptop's old. Anyways, thanks for the help solarmystic and josephsamuellee
