Pausing the emulation before loading a save state
Sometimes when a game freeze, pressing F4 to load a save state, nothing happens...actually it does, the command is executed but only if:
1.You pause(F8)=>run the game 2.Restart the game(it will auto load the save state(even tho the option for that is not enabled) So would it be better, when you press F4 to first pause the emulation, then load the state and then run the emulation(this method never failed me even once). Using PPSSPP on Windows 7 x64 SP1 i7 4771 3.5Ghz,GTX750TI,16GB RAM Batch iso <=> cso converter http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5384 Save Game\States Manager http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5516 |

RE: Pausing the emulation before loading a save state
It executes savestate operations every frame. If you're playing a game that doesn't draw frames in a certain area, and using buffered rendering, I suppose this may happen.
Also, it may appear to happen when actually, your hard drive has gone to sleep (but the game won't continue, it will just take a while to load the savestate.) -[Unknown] |

RE: Pausing the emulation before loading a save state
Here are some example
.Hack\\Link - on the latest 0.2 english patch if you press square at the results screen(after clearing an area),ppsspp will show(probably bug with the translation patch)a black screen and an empty box(where the explanation text is supposed to be). When ppsspp freeze there, the music is still running but you can't do anything and trying to load a save state does nothing Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Impact - executing skill when you don't have enough chakra. The problem doesn't exist anymore but you probably know what was happening before. The game freeze and loading save states does nothing(unless you pause the emulation) I can't think of any other game right now, this just happens at random. RE: Pausing the emulation before loading a save state
Well, don't use the non-buffered rendering speedhack then.

RE: Pausing the emulation before loading a save state
I'm not and there is no difference between using it or not...I can't load a state once the game freeze.
I need to pause the emulation, try to load a state and then resume it(this is the only way I found without restarting the game or ppsspp) Using PPSSPP on Windows 7 x64 SP1 i7 4771 3.5Ghz,GTX750TI,16GB RAM Batch iso <=> cso converter http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5384 Save Game\States Manager http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5516 |
