Mac OSX Fullscreen Problem

When I go fullscreen, the PPSSPP window will either turn purple with a white square on the top right side, or it will go completely black/white. In most cases the audio still plays.
If I maximize the screen (dragging the corner of the window to make it bigger, or pressing the maximize button on the window) the application will completely quit on me.

Does anybody even have any idea why? Thanks.
