RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
Here's code to change the first slot of equip box to that earring that allow your attack to be unblockable. Before you use the code make sure to remove/move away any equipment from the slot.
Code: _S NPJB-40001 |

IIRC, change that 01 to 02, 03, 04 or something around there, try until you get one.

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
Has anyone had any luck getting this to run well on Android? I have tried to get it to run smooth with no success. From the very start of the game it runs very slow.

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
What sort of settings have you tried? Have you made sure Software Skinning is turned off/unchecked? It seems to cause a massive speed penalty in this game (and MHFU). Also, this game is quite a bit more demanding than MHFU, so if your device is rather weak, you probably won't have great results, no matter what you do.

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
Yes, I have turned software skinning off and turned on the other speed-up features. The only thing I haven't been able to figure out is the CPU Speed setting. It seems to cause more frame rate drops when set to 60-80. But works better when set to auto. However, when set to around 180+ the frame rate does increase, albeit very little. I have a Droid Ultra, which contains the Motorola X8 Computing System. This is essentially a modified Snapdragon S4 Pro 1.7 GHz Dual-Core Krait CPU and Quad-Core Adreno 320. I know this isn't the best technology available but I figured it was capable of running pretty much any game I came across.

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
There's one problem, then. The Snapdragon CPU family doesn't really agree with PPSSPP. I think mobile devices are still a generation or two off from being really able to play every single game (including MH, God of War, Pangya) at full speed without needing frameskip and such.

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
Wow, thanks for the info. I wasn't aware of the issue with the Snapdragon processors. Every game I have tried for PPSSPP has worked very well though, with few exceptions. Perhaps trying the non-HD version would yield better results since I would predict it requires less from one's system?

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
I personally didn't notice much of a performance difference with the regular version on my ancient Android tablet, but that's not to say you might not. Just keep in mind the non-HD version has its own issues to deal with, namely the decrypted PAUTH files that are needed to even start the game.

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
Thank you very much for the help. I guess I'll just stick with MHFU for now, especially since I imagine getting the decrypted PAUTH files will prove too much of a headache.
