Battlegrounds 3
Game: Battlegrounds 3 (bg3) v0.4x
File Format: PBP Test bed: Windows 8.1 x64 Compatibility: Fully functional with minor graphical glitches. Download: https://github.com/xfacter/battlegrounds3/releases Gallery: http://imgur.com/a/rqOzb Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nplgcTyA...752F3FF577 (these are from the PSP version, not the emulator) I am the developer of this game. Works as intended aside from a few minor graphical glitches. What I noticed so far: 1. The terrain sometimes pops in and out of the background. 2. In larger than original resolutions, text sometimes has lines at the top or bottom, presumably the renderer is using a slightly larger area of the texture than intended. 3. Shadows are all projected at an angle almost parallel to the ground, if not higher (they should be almost directly beneath the tanks). I'm not sure why this would happen, might be a render-to-texture bug, but the game is open source so feel free to look through if you think this might be a bug in the emulator. I have also tested my older games, Battlegrounds3D and Battlegrounds (original). BG3D worked fine except for the map editor, which freezes upon trying to start an editing session. Battlegrounds was very buggy. More information available on my website: http://battlegroundspsp.wordpress.com Very cool project by the way, it's great being able to play my old games without having to whip out my dying old PSP. |

RE: Battlegrounds 3
Thanks for the heads up on this homebrew game, and welcome to the PPSSPP forums.
Will have to try this later on, thanks again. |

RE: Battlegrounds 3
The shadow issue appears to have exactly the same problems as Frogger's shadows:
https://github.com/hrydgard/ppsspp/issues/4421 Battlegrounds3D's map editor works for me, but I'm using PSP-1000. Didn't test carefully. The first (non-3d) one works only in the software renderer. It seems to be doing pixel poking. -[Unknown] |
