RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
Doing a media install won't help with load times on PPSSPP, nor should it break any games (most of the time it just wastes space). Just use the turbo button to get through them faster.

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
One big question....
WAS ANYONE HERE GOT BOTH GAME, HD Remaster and the Portable version, & deeply compared the performance?
If ever, which one works better? I doubt the fact that this will be slower (the fact that it's Hd), since that PPSSPP renders the game's resolution & textures based on settings.
On the other hand Monster Hunter Portable 3rd requires scePAUTH, dumping PAUTH folder from Real PSP will make it work though, I'm thinking if it make some impact on fps.
I actually had the MHP3 version, but I'm thinking of getting this version.

T/N: I Highlighted those words for emphasis.

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
i just found out there's no MEDIA INSTALL option on MHP3rd HD,
anyways, i've been playing awhile on MHP3rd HD, can the HD save be also use for the non-HD MHP3rd? like if I used an .iso/.cso of MHP3rd(non-HD) on ppsspp or on a PSP?

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
Yes, the saves can be moved back and forth between the HD and non-HD versions. That's one of the selling points of the HD version. Smile

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
That depends on your PC, if you manage to make the controller work as NATIVE GAMEPAD using any pairing tool,. You can play using default key mappings on controls setting.
But if, you mean wireless ps3 controller for PC? Not made for ps3?= the emulator have key mapping on settings, if your controller is proven working on your PC, it can be mapped accordingly to your preferences.

I'm using my wireless ps3 controller on Android, using sixaxis app. And it works great.

Sure, just use Scarlet.Crush's DS3/DS4 driver. Should work great (although mapping the dpad and right analog stick to the same thing might get a bit wonky at times, still not sure why).

Same goes with Android devices, but if I set my sixaxis app to set DS3 as native gamepad, the buttons work the right way.
On the other hand, Mapping it results to the same problem., left analog stick positions was mapped as dpad directions. Pretty different from other mappings that l-analog stick uses axes.

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
Using SAVESTATE is not recommended for progress-transfer, you can use the SAVEDATA instead. It's the folder named ULJM05800 from savedata folder.
And also, make sure that saves are encrypted on both versions.

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
That problem only occurs when you loadstate a frame from a time before you used the normal save.
Sorry I can't say it clear... Here's the catch:
Don't Load your Savestate(Save from pause menu) if you know that you already saved the game(in-game save bed/quest end) after that savestate...

Also loadstating will only keep the glitch from old settings.
In order to fix it, start the game using its in-game save and don't use Savestates unless it's necessary.

It is encrypted in default. Some people are disabling it for savedata transfer to other emulators. Ex. jcpsp

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
Ok so if i understood what you mean, I should load my SAVESTATE than go to the bed in my house and try to save the normal way. And then transfer my save to Android and try to load the normal SAVEDATA? I hope i understood you right lol my english is not that good xD but thx

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
Nope, you can't use your current SAVESTATE.
The only way to fix no memory card error is start the game from normal in-game save. (the last normal save you have) Start the game using the normal way and you should be able to save normally again.
It's a bad news for you if you're using only SAVESTATEs from the start.

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
Reading through this thread might help, but it's best to avoid using savestates in the Monster Hunter games.
