Henrik, ¿Have you selected your next project after PPSSPP?
Want to know something:
Henrik, ¿Have you selected your next project after PPSSPP? My suggestion is a PS2 Emulator maybe.. Want to see if you can surpass PCSX2 just like you made it with JPCSP PCSX2 in my opinion hasnt a good optimization.. I mean, my main experience making a comparison is: DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 in PCSX2 runs with poorly graphics quality, poorly sound quality and no graphic filters But the same game in Dolphin runs at 60 FPS, awesome graphics quality, awesome sound quality and also can use the graphic filters (Anisotropic and Texture Scale, both in 2x) You can see it more clearly in this images below PCSX2: Notes: *No borders around the character Models, like in console. *Serrated Edges (Because i cant use graphic filter, which can use in Dolphin and without slowdowns) *Textures a bit deformed Dolphin: Notes: *Borders around the character Models, like in console. *No serrated edges because can use the graphic filters without any slowdown *Textures in a better quality than PCSX2 *Also, no slowdowns in every stage, in PCSX2 i cant play in so much stages because have a annoying slowdown Maybe in Dolphin there is no Bloom Effect (But it's possible to put it modifying the .UNK files of the characters in a Hex Value specific) but there is also more advantage than PCSX2 in Low Specs PCs, mine is: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5200+ 2,6 GHz 2 GB RAM Video NVIDIA GeForce 9600GT 1 GB Windows XP SP3 x86 (The slowdown is really more powerful in Windows 7/8) Basically: Dolphin (SVN R6515 is what i use) runs better in Low Specs PCs just like PPSSPP, so guess it's my dream to see a good optimizated PS2 Emulator (And no one yet have made a Emulator without taking the PCSX2 Source Code) So... just think about it please u_u Nothing else.. probably ill receive a notification and maybe a moderator will close the thread and i know that, but just want to write the possibility here.. Sorry if my english isnt good at all, and greetings from Uruguay. Cya~ |

RE: Henrik, ¿Have you selected your next project after PPSSPP?
Yoh man!!
I really doubt he Will make a PS2 emulator, since I saw he saying in other topic he was not interested! Besides that, he said that the actual PS2 emulator is really good because it’s really hard to emulate it! So, it’s a dream!! But hey Henrik!! If you want to turn our dreams into reality, don’t forget PS2 on Android, ok? hahaha Just kidding! I was an Xperia Play gamer until my dog ate my beloved phone! Now I’m an Xperia ZL/ZQ gamer! Quad-Core 1.5 GHZ 2GB RAM It works better, but i miss the gamepad!! T_T' |

RE: Henrik, ¿Have you selected your next project after PPSSPP?
But PPSSPP is GOOD ENOUGH already .. In my Opinion ,, PSP and PS2 are same in terms of games because they are many PS2 games that have in PSP .. I think the best way is to give Henrik a lot of time to focus the PPSSPP .. If the PPSSPP is not finished yet and he doing another Emulator ,, that will slowdown the PPSSPP project development.. I just hope Dolphin emulator makes the cut to iOS. I would love to see that happen. Thanks to Karen Tsai.. she already made one of my dreams come true, Miss-Sama is compiling Reicast for iOS (frontend coming on nicely). Maybe she will also work on Dophin next
As for PS2, well that is a long shot. Something that is way too complex. |

RE: Henrik, ¿Have you selected your next project after PPSSPP?
PS2 hardware is so complex and strange that it is very difficult to make a fast and bugless emulator.
There are many systems that need improvements in the emulation and requires the work of good developers. First Xbox: It has no emulator and I do not know the reason. Most notable games were ported to other platforms, but there are some good games that are restricted to this system and are not preserved (Dead or Alive Ultimate and 3, Conker Live & Reloaded). If it is terribly difficult, the compatibility does not need to be high, it could at least make these games work. DS: Desmume has problems with speed and the 3D rendering is terrible with poor resolution. 3DS: The hardware seems to be as powerful as PSP. It does not seem too complex since Nintendo's systems are weak. Other systems that needs emulation are Arcade machines. It seems it is not interesting because each specific board does not have enough games and most developers do not have the physical machine to be studied. 3D boards are terribly emulated by Mame, because it uses CPU instead of GPU to render 3D graphics and consequently the speed and the resolution are terrible. Some Arcade boards are based on existing consoles and an Arcade emulator could use the source code of existing emulators. PS1: Capcom Sony ZN 1, 2; Namco System 10, 11, 12; Taito FX-1A, FX-1B; Taito G-NET; Konami GV. Saturn: Sega ST-V |

RE: Henrik, ¿Have you selected your next project after PPSSPP?
there's already an unreleased 3ds emulator ahah (apparently accurate enough to test code on it and expecting it to react like a console)
