Help regarding gamepad

I have a twin usb gamepad, but 1 of the gamepad has some defective buttons. ppsspp detects the defective gamepad as the default. I wanted to map the controls to the other working one but I don't know how. Is there even a way?

yes in windows (xpadder)is free software,emulates the keyboard
