The emulator still crashes before I get to the tittle screen after I load the game. Only thing I can do is save with game option, then use the option to go to the tittle and use load file from there but that makes no sense though. I think I just give up from this game. |

RE: Ys Seven
I didn't know you can't even reach the title screen.
You can load while ingame too(from the File menu). If you can't even reach the title screen, then the problem is either the image or your video card\drivers. When you start the game and till it crash, what do you see in the console? Quote from my first post "When I launch the game I get a black screen and the "Now Loading" in the bottom right corner. As soon as the "Now loading" finishes loading the emulator crashes." I never said I managed to get to the tittle screen. I get a lot of yellow colored lines saying "idle0 W[HLE]: HLE\HLE.cpp:77 Someone else woke up HLE-blocked thread?" |

It will be really slow but try to see if it will crash again when you enable(before starting the game)from the screen settings in Graphics=>Software Rendering

However as you mention it's very slow this way (unplayable). Anyway does that means that my graphic card is the problem? |

Yes...either the game don't like ATI cards or it's your video drivers(ati drivers are known to have problems and that's not on ppsspp only)

I disabled Catalyst A.I. in CCC like solarmystic suggested in his thread and YS Seven doesn't crash anymore at all. Works perfect now. This also fixed all the lags and slowdowns I had in Hexyz Force and Final Fantasy Tactics. |

RE: Ys Seven
I noticed that some graphical effects aren't rendering for me properly.
Case 1) The restoration points are the worst offenders so far. Using the latest nightly (ppsspp-v0.9.6-784) and Read Framebuffer to Memory (CPU) enabled, the effects painted on restoration points leave a lagging ghost trail on the screen: http://imageshack.com/a/img855/1544/iltb.png Unfortunately, it actually looks worse in action. Something similar also happens with the waterfalls in the next room, so I can only surmise that other effects will be affected as well. This issue doesn't occur on vanilla v0.9.6.2, but the restoration point doesn't even light up at all, so... Case 2) If I switch to Read Framebuffer to Memory (GPU), the ghost trail will leave a flickering after-image. http://imageshack.com/a/img32/8820/de56.png In the center of the screenshot, you can see the after-image of the symbol that's drawn on the screen during the cutscene that unlocks the Extra Skill. The after-image flickers, and it gets worse until the whole screen is flickering. This will also occur with the effects painted on restoration points. This happens in both the latest nightly and v0.9.6.2. Case 3) If I switch to Buffered Rendering, these problems appear to go away, but the mini-map doesn't work -- and I don't know what else. Etc) Other than the issues outlined above, the game appears to run flawlessly. Unfortunately, the issues are too distracting to ignore, so I was hoping that someone would be able to offer some suggestions. All of the options are default, except for the Rendering Mode and window size. I run the x64 builds, my CPU is a Core i7 920, and my graphics card is a Radeon HD 4890 with the final drivers installed. |

RE: Ys Seven
Has there been any resolution to the problem with the Flame Sanctum since v0.9.7.1-3-gd22793e? It is still too dark to play through that dungeon.
