Edit: Unfortunately I can't run it on my Xperia Play because I doesn't have the minimum requirements, but some guys ported it on Open Pandora which has similar hardware. Do you think it will be possible to run it on ARM v7 android devices?

Yes - use Dreamcast GDI to Mame CHD Converter from http://www.emutalk.net/threads/51502-GDI-to-CHD

I used it to convert Crazy taxi GDI (total uncompressed size 1.1gb) to a CHD file (118Mb) and it worked in Reicast.

Thanks for that, did some research and it seems v5 was added in 0.145u1 of mame.
So we need to be using v145 for v4 with reicast as it contains the latest fixes up to v5.

Are you going to allow recast to work with libretro RetroArch emulator. The dev was looking at implementing it to RA's cores.. Would be nice!!

Are you adding multithreading for the process of streaming the roms?, I noticed slight lag between crazy taxi's main menu transitions when using chd's, this happens just before the driver selection screen comes up, theres a 1-2 second pause of a blank yellow screen before it resumes to the driver selection., but with gdi's no noticable slowdown. In-game I didn't notice any lag at all with either, no audio stutter :-)

The only lag I get is when the controls every so often lock up and the frame rate drops but this happens with gdi's also so no difference.

Doesn't work on my xperia play, it just goes back the the main menu once I try to boot the game. I don't know if it's the snapdragon or android 2.3.4
