RE: Current state of Snapdragon-based CPUs in PPSSPP
* in MHFU, speed is 100% , though only 12-14 fps (in village)
* but in quest, it goes up 15-20fps with 100% speed. * and the intro video is now reaching, 91.1% 55fps. * so its a big speed & fps increase compared to latest build. * SOCOM, fps is 13/10, & 12/12, * speed is 100% * like in 1452, it still looks laggy bcoz of low fps. * i have to thank u for this build, sacha * its way faster & smoother than the latest builds. * ( by "faster&smoother" , i dont mean it in a bad way, ofcourse, all devs, you're all doing your best! good job) * its just that this build is faster on my device * if auto-rotate orientation is there, it will be perfect. * thanks again Reality is a Lovely Place, But i Wouldn't Wanna Live There.. • • gLoBe ~ |

RE: Current state of Snapdragon-based CPUs in PPSSPP
So this build fixes performance issues only on Adreno/Snapdragon. Does it have any effect on other SoCs?

RE: Current state of Snapdragon-based CPUs in PPSSPP
It doesn't fix anything, it's at most a workaround. Not doing the EGL config shouldn't make anything faster.
The fact that it does is just bizarre and must be due to some bug or bad code in Android or the gfx driver. |

RE: Current state of Snapdragon-based CPUs in PPSSPP
Henrik: is there a way to find out which EGLconfig it is using, when we skip this?
Maybe the 8/8/8/0/24 is bad for Snapdragon? |

RE: Current state of Snapdragon-based CPUs in PPSSPP
The ones from play store crashes a few seconds after the map loaded (same fps, same speed), and the latest dev build has graphical glitches and more laggy.
xsacha build works fine, although it's only 12fps/50%-75% speed it's still playable. EDIT : Redownloaded the latest dev build (old browser cache strikes again :/) and it has 20fps-40fps/60%-100% speed |

RE: Current state of Snapdragon-based CPUs in PPSSPP
Its not bad.. GPU is a bit weak but I have that same GPU and certain games run OK.
My device 1ghz dual core adreno 203. Fyi games that run ok.. Soul caliber Tekken 5 Mk unchained wipeout Pes 2013 Note, some games require frameskipp but are very playable and smooth.. Also mine is an a5 processor.. anything quicker by rights should run the emu faster. |

RE: Current state of Snapdragon-based CPUs in PPSSPP
* does this EGLconfig thing, only affects buffered Rendered games? or also non-buffered?
* i have a new game , Gods Eater Burst, it uses non-buffered. and i also used it to test between sacha's & 0.9.5-843. in means of speeds & fps. * here it is.. * with no frameskip. Sacha's while in the Mission Room build 843 Sacha's in a Mission in Difficulty 1 build 843 * i used sacha's with frameskip Auto, and played all difficulty 1 missions.. * and it becomes fully playable, not a single hiccup on sounds so far.. * but in latest, even if i use frameskip. playable. but theres still some slowdown here & there * i have 3 Things to say actually, * 1. i really dont know why sacha's build is faster, than latest. thats why for now, i'll stick to sacha's but i'll still test it with future builds. * 2. i know nothing about programming stuff. but have some free time to test things, just tell me what to do, how to do, and what game to test. and i will give the results asap * 3. i dont know, if what im doing helps. so if anybody thinks the results & images im reporting is pointless, not making any help, or just confusing the devs.. pls tell so i'd stop Reality is a Lovely Place, But i Wouldn't Wanna Live There.. • • gLoBe ~ |

RE: Current state of Snapdragon-based CPUs in PPSSPP
Anybody know how we can contact them to find out when this will run smoothly on these newer devices??
I doubt we'll get any info, if any of us individually tries to contact the devs.. |

RE: Current state of Snapdragon-based CPUs in PPSSPP
Protip: developers tend to view forum posts too. Henrik even posted a reply a few posts ago.
I think he tried disabling it, so maybe it will be improved in the latest build. -[Unknown] |
