Settings for the best graphics
I'm fairly new to this emulator and I was wondering which settings offered the best graphical experience. The text and images as they are seem a bit blurry and out of focus to me even if I don't full screen the window.

I am using v0.9.5 on PC and have tried playing Patapon 2 and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.

You can download the latest PPSSPP dev build here .

Set rendering to Non-buffered and set frameskipping to auto.

check on Multithread if you have a more than 2 cpu core. The other part is up to you, so go ahead and keep on experiment to see if you get the best graphical experience.

o.o Oh Hi XD

RE: Settings for the best graphics
To make text sharper, try Texture Scaling to 3x or 4x, there are a few different modes you can choose from.

RE: Settings for the best graphics
Thank you for the replies. I've implemented your suggestions with a small increase in graphical performance. I also unchecked mipmapping.

Anyways hopefully the graphics will be improved as more developments are released. Can't wait to get my ps3 controller in the mail and relive my childhood ^^

EDIT: I've gotten the graphics in game to be very sharp however the text still is not at the same quality. For example either the text is pixelated or not pixelated but blurry with faded stuff around each character. Is this normal or is there a setting I haven't played with yet?

RE: Settings for the best graphics
i found this settings best for 3D games with 2D menus and text

>stretch to display
>VSync

>postprocessing shader
-4xHqGLSL

>rendering mode
-buffered rendering

>texture filtering
-nearest or linear < it really depands on game but in most cases linear is better

>texture scaling
-4x
-hybrid
-deposterize

>hardware transform
>vortex cache
>enable sound < of course

rest options is really up to you

in some games like Ys VI The Ark of Napishtim text have bad filtering i need to do save state and that text is filtered (or was it load state) and as soon as i press anything to move text its back to bad filtered

but other than that this setting works good enough for most of the games

Try AntiMicro graphical program used to map keyboard keys and mouse controls to a gamepad/controller.

i have
gigabyte quad core
2,50 gHz
4gb ram
nvidia gtx 257 1gb

in some games it makes that save states when saving i get little bit delay in gameplay (same thing happen when i load state) but its like half sec other than that i did not see any problem
