RE: The Legend Of Heroes II: Prophecy Of The Moonlight Witch
With the most recent SVN, the game crashes at the Bandai screen for what seems to be an endless audio loading loop. I can get around it by loading a savestate from the title screen made from an earlier build (the 9.5 official release, I think), but it's unwieldy at best.

So now it's unplayable once again?

What's the last version that did work and the first version that didn't?

Game seems fine in the latest build, don't see any problems with the video or anything. Not using any savestates.

RE: The Legend Of Heroes II: Prophecy Of The Moonlight Witch
It still doesn't work for me. :/ Maybe it's because I'm running the Japanese version......er, perhaps that should be mentioned, or put into another thread, I suppose. I forgot to think about that-----different versions might as well be different games in some aspects, after all.

But since we're here, the last version that worked....let's see. It's v0.9.6-393-g628426b.

I'm running Windows 8, Core i7, nVidia GTX 660M, standard nVidia drivers, if that helps.

RE: The Legend Of Heroes II: Prophecy Of The Moonlight Witch
That's probably the reason, then, yes.

So to be clear, v0.9.6-396-g947acb0 does not work, right? If so, then the cause is probably this:
https://github.com/hrydgard/ppsspp/pull/5073

Could be that it's adding packets in some way that change breaks. You wouldn't happen to have a compiler, would you? I'm wondering if changing this, in MediaEngine.cpp:

Code:
if (m_demux) {
      m_noAudioData = false;

To:

Code:
if (m_demux) {

Makes it work again (although this would break other things.)

RE: The Legend Of Heroes II: Prophecy Of The Moonlight Witch
I'm actually very clueless about programming! So no, I wouldn't have a compiler lying around. The workaround works for the moment, anyway, as long as savestates don't get broken again in the future. And even if it does, I'll still have older builds sitting around. Or until the problem has been identified and fixed, whichever comes first.

Thank you for all your help, you've been very kind. Especially for someone who was blabbering on about the wrong version of the game! XD;;;
