The sound is all wacky pretty much until the first FMV, then from that point forward (in-game and everything) the sound is fine. I've only gotten as far as the first town, Arlia, though. That's what I'm talking about; pretty much every voice/sound after that logo screen are normal. Ah, I just wanted to be a bit more clear about where the garbled audio starts because I don't think it's a frame rate issue. Very peculiar. |

RE: Star Ocean: Second Evolution
Is it just me, or anyone else having trouble with the text boxes in Star Ocean Second Evolution on the ppsspp emulator?
It seems they get stuck on the previous text. When a new character speaks, the text displayed is what the previous character said. |

RE: Star Ocean: Second Evolution
That seems to happen in quite a few different games. sometimes if you give it a few seconds it will update, but sometimes it doesnt.

RE: Star Ocean: Second Evolution
Try renamining "ppsspp.ini" to "ppsspp-save.ini" and try again. This will reset your settings.
Also make sure you're using the latest git build. -[Unknown] |

When encountering monsters this happens (music stops, black screen, see attached). Psp build 1902 Android user here. Figured out when movies arent full screen just press back then continue.

RE: Star Ocean: Second Evolution
Cleared the game using 0.9.1-452 x86
Start the with Buffered Rendering already enabled to fix the black screen and never change the buffering mode. On newer revs(don't remember since when),if you create a save state and the load the state,if you then try to start a battle, ppsspp will always freeze. Using PPSSPP on Windows 7 x64 SP1 i7 4771 3.5Ghz,GTX750TI,16GB RAM Batch iso <=> cso converter http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5384 Save Game\States Manager http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5516 |

RE: Star Ocean: Second Evolution
I know,I always use in-game save but save but using save states before something unknown\dangerous is a good reason to use them
It's just the since some rev(I know know about 0.9.5),if you create a save state and then load it,if you enter a battle, the game will freeze and not if you create the save state and not load it(random battles is not something you can avoid) Using PPSSPP on Windows 7 x64 SP1 i7 4771 3.5Ghz,GTX750TI,16GB RAM Batch iso <=> cso converter http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5384 Save Game\States Manager http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5516 |

RE: Star Ocean: Second Evolution
It would really help to know a better version range if you can try to narrow it down at all.

RE: Star Ocean: Second Evolution
I can't tell you the exact rev but I narrowed it down quite a bit.
It's between 0.9.1-677 and 0.9.1-690 Using PPSSPP on Windows 7 x64 SP1 i7 4771 3.5Ghz,GTX750TI,16GB RAM Batch iso <=> cso converter http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5384 Save Game\States Manager http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5516 |
