Full HD Resolution.
Hi, Sorry for a Thread about this again but... i didnt found my anwser yet T_T.
so, my cell is full hd, when i play on non buffered, the graphics is very smooth but lags a LOT. when i turn buffered on, its 100% speed '-' i have a tablet which is HD that occurs the oposite, when is non buffered the graphics is smooth and performance ok, but when i turn buffered. got blurry and a lot of lags. So. any solution? for my cell 1920x1080? i am using buffered+ant-aliasing, its better than non-buffered but, i would like to play on non-buffered like on my cell, anyway to do that? and anyone can explain why this is happening? |

RE: Full HD Problem.
non-buffered is better than buffered graphic wise.
(read this for more info, http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5236) Buffered is used mostly for compatability. Buffered also more resource heavy, so it is only natural for it to be slower. I would guess the driver on your cell might be causing the slowdown. |

RE: Full HD Resolution.
Buffer Rendering, when disabled, is a speed hack, it reduces the details to give more speed. Enabling it, the graphics stays as the PSP, or almost.

RE: Full HD Resolution.
that is the problem, my smartphone cant play without buffered. when i put non-buffered. it becomes a LOT of lag around 40%, when i put buffered, is 100% perfect speed and sound. but some of games on android dont support buffered like dissidia. that's why i want to know if there is a way to play with non-buffered.

It's the same for me on the new (2013) Nexus 7. It seems that the games are rendered at full 1080p resolution if you disable buffered. I even get around 13 FPS in Little Big Planet, which is amazing, but I bet if we could set the resolution to match PSP's original 480x272 it would play very well. The games look absolutely fantastic in Full HD. The one that is the most playable is Loco Roco, doing 50 - 60 FPS on my N7. Looks pretty too, except for the Loco itself, which looks hexagonal instead of round I guess because it was coded to be round at PSP's small resolution originaly and there it looked.. well, round. I hope you add support to choose resolution and play display size soon. Thank you for this amazing emulator! Peace. |

RE: Full HD Resolution.
I would like to do a request: Any dev could put a new option to chose a resolution in non-buffer rendering and buffer rendering mode. This should help the Full HD phones, and for some games, we can reduce resolution to game more speed.

RE: Full HD Resolution.
if there's no option for the resolution, it simply because non-buffered mode doesn't work that way. Games run as they should on my full hd phone with non-buffered. Lbp is a quite demanding game, it's normal if this game runs at that kind of speed. If I understand properly, there's no way to enhance the graphic on non-buffered, so problem like no character and such can't be resolved. Deal with it and stop complaining (or get a better device). This is a good speed hack and that's why the option is still there. (it's mainly for mobile device and very crappy computer. Since on a decent computer there's no difference between buffered or not.

RE: Full HD Resolution.
Well, we can change the resolution on Windows, right? Or only with Buffer Rendering?

RE: Full HD Resolution.
well on windows, it works the same as on a phone; when you're using non-buffered, the resolution is the one from the windows size or from your fullscreen resolution.

RE: Full HD Resolution.
Just reorganized our resolution options so now we have Rendering Resolution and Window Size (size is win only). Set Rendering Resolution to Auto to get the same resolution with buffered as with unbuffered rendering. (not tested very much yet though).

Nice! I'm downloading the last build for test. Then I'll post the result in few minutes.
Hm, but I have not a Full HD device here. Then is better another people test. Phones: Poco F3 8GB/256GB (Snapdragon 870 5G) and Redmi Note 6 Pro 4/64GB (Snapdragon 636) PC: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 / 16GB RAM DDR4 3600MHz / NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti 6GB / Windows 10 Pro |

OK, iv been messin with settings… my resolution is 480 ×800 I wasn't sure which ones to use, so I'm currently using ×3 and enabled both hacks and to my surprise (tested 2 games) and I got a massive speed boost?? (I'm not complainin lol) Just wanted to know what if anything have you added to boost speed? I'm well chuffed.
Note: I haven't downloaded a build since 0.9.1 until now.. which at the moment is the latest build you created. thx. good work guys. well impressed Note: FYI 1ghz dual core. adreno 203. ps.. sry for hijackin a thread.. at least I didn't create anotherī |

RE: Full HD Resolution.
Wow, it has fixed graphics bugs on God of War Chains of Olympus, like the box on top left of screen. And the graphics are as the real PSP. Great work!
P.S: Unfortunately, the screen is flashing here, should be the option "Change CPU Clock". Phones: Poco F3 8GB/256GB (Snapdragon 870 5G) and Redmi Note 6 Pro 4/64GB (Snapdragon 636) PC: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 / 16GB RAM DDR4 3600MHz / NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti 6GB / Windows 10 Pro |
