Digital pad for the buttons

Hello,
In some games there are actions that must be done with a combination of button (square + cross or triangle + circle). I think that on touch devices would be very useful to have a digital pad for the actions too.

It should have the square on the left, the triangle on the top, the circle on the right and the cross on the bottom like the current layout. However with a "digital pad" layout it would be very easy to press two buttons at the same time (you mus press the "diagonal" direction).

What do you think? It could be done?

Yeah a configurable small button that can do multiple button presses would be very useful
