Did you try to dump the original fonts from your psp? Maybe the issue resides in the font and not the way the game is emulated.

What version of PPSSPP are you using?

Version PPSSPP v0.8.1

Try using 0.9.1, or if it doesn't work there, a development build that's v0.8.1-1302-g5f6707d or later. 0.8.1 official had the broken fonts in this game until it was fixed, I think. I don't have this game, but that's what I can find for you.

I am experiencing black screen (with music though) while playing the game halfway.
I am using ppsspp v0.97 on Windows 7

I have the same issue with the black screen with sound since the last release. The strange thing though is that I played the complete game before.

Should we wait for another release?

Can you upload an in-game save where the problem occurs? What platform are you running the game on?

Actually I did a search in other forums and in my case it is a blackout in a character route (Futo), which other players confirmed to be a bug from the game itself. I only had to reset the game 3 times!
