Not, smooth never, at this time. I tested many CPU Clocks and the minimum clock to run PPSSPP in good speed is 1.2Ghz, but you still will run slow in some games. With 1.0Ghz will run more slow, the PES 2013, for example, will run at 70-80 %, with 1.2Ghz, you will run at 100%. Not are all. But you will get a good speed. I run on my Galaxy S2 all my games at 50% or more. Quad Core will not make much difference, but when multithreaded be fully optimized, will support 2 or more core. This option is available, but not make MUCH difference.

About the Xperia, some games runs good in 1Ghz, but 1.2Ghz is much better. But is probably that he used the option Change CPU Clock. And this game is not heavy.

It not is exactly the full specs that I need know. I need know the CPU and GPU model. But is an good configuration. My Galaxy S2 configurations is:

-Cortex A9 1.2Ghz Dual-Core Processor
-GPU Mali 400MP2 (Dual-Core)
-1GB RAM
-Screen 4.2" 800x480 WVGA
-Android 2.3.6 by stock, but have official update to 4.0.3/4.0.4/4.1.2, I use the 4.0.4.

Also some processors are faster than others... A9 CPU is fastest out there bar A15.. if you can afford one then go for it, A5 being the slowest.
I would recommend A9 as its cheap but very quick but GPU is also very important so A9 combined with a desent GPU.. although when fully optimized may run full speed on older hardware.


Also to check your phone, use root explorer then proc/ CPU info.

Krait is better than A9, and A15 is slightly better than Krait, though I can't say about their compatibility with PPSSPP

That's what Chinese manufacturers mostly use.. that or adreno 203.

Yeah, if is chinese, is much probably the PowerVR, the most used GPU.

It's not powervr and not even adreno, it's mali 400mp4. So it's similar to SGS 2.
