You have to install the visual C++ runtime. The program you installed is for developing applications and games.

Your video card only supports OpenGL with newer drivers. I read that on Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_GMA#G...on_Windows

You will want to ensure they are up to date by installing the latest drivers from Intel.

I use a 9800 GT and it works fine. I have not tested it on a Celeron, however. I would be very interested in what speed you get with jit turned on, or if it crashes when jit is turned on (but not when it's turned off.)

When I install the program it says that I'm already on my PC.

When I select the ROM appears:

Translated into English:

PPSSPP stopped working

Windows is checking for a solution to the problem ...

Yes, this means it's most likely a video card driver issue. Does this still happen after you update your drivers?

Probably I have the latest drivers as they were updated on 02/10/2009. But I will download and reinstall. http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_D...pe=Drivers

To no avail, still the same thing.

I had the same problem on my cousin PC yesterday. He had me install Windows 8 for him. After the fresh install, with updated DirectX and VC++ (although I don't think PPSSPP requires it), the emulator crashed when I attempted to load any files.

His PC specs:
- Celeron 430 (very ancient)
- Intel G41 chipset (Intel GMA 4500 IGP, ancient too)

Intel only provides graphics driver up to Windows 7. So I have no choice but using the default driver that come with Windows 8. Perhaps it was the problem.

I also tried running PPSSPP on my VMware virtual machine (on my computer, not my counsin's), and it ran perfectly without any error.

most Windows 7 drivers should work fine on Windows 8.

If you can, try to install custom drivers for the GMA graphic cards, because official drivers are bad and use less than half of the graphic card's potential. This could be the cause.

Last builds doesn't work neither with my netbook with a Ati x1270 and latest available drivers, it force closes when selecting a rom.
I remember january builds worked (after Henrik did a fix).
