RE: Gundam Vs Gundam Next Plus
The game is now unplayable for extended periods (a few minutes) of time, as it is destined to hang and then crash the emulator with it.
Issue present since 0.8.1-123 https://github.com/hrydgard/ppsspp/issues/2553 Use 0.8.1-116 if you want to continue playing this game You can test it for yourself by going into 1P Arcade mode and playing the first stage. It will hang, then crash the emulator after a very short while. PPSSPP Modern Testbed:- Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz 16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz Windows 7 x64 SP1 PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:- Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz 8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz Windows 7 x64 SP1 |

RE: Gundam Vs Gundam Next Plus
Strange. So it basically recreates the well-known stage loading freeze problem back during pre-v0.7?
update: On the bright side, looks like the screen doesn't constantly blinking anymore when frame skip is set to 3 or above. |

RE: Gundam Vs Gundam Next Plus
There is a temporary workaround for builds after 0.8.1-123.
If you lock the PSP CPU to a higher frequency, e.g. 666 MHz, the game does not hang and crash, surprisingly enough. Use this for now until issue can be properly fixed. PPSSPP Modern Testbed:- Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz 16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz Windows 7 x64 SP1 PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:- Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz 8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz Windows 7 x64 SP1 |

RE: Gundam Vs Gundam Next Plus
The game now has working sound effects since v0.8.1-368-gb78276f.
Looks like whatever fixed the monhun sound effects issue also did it for GvG Next Plus. They tend to lag behind the actual action though, and will linger long after its supposed to finish playing. PPSSPP Modern Testbed:- Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz 16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz Windows 7 x64 SP1 PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:- Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz 8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz Windows 7 x64 SP1 |

RE: Gundam Vs Gundam Next Plus
Yeah, and looks like not all sound effect actually plays (basically the only SE that can be heard are explosions and menu/UI clicks) and the latency is so insanely high. Moreover, thanks to the sound effects the gameplay lags even worse lol (noticable when frameskip is disabled).
update: seems to be fixed by now, t'was quick. |

RE: Gundam Vs Gundam Next Plus
@Razorback
They are still there. Just extremely soft. You have to jack up the SE Volume in the Audio Settings to 6,7, or even 8 to listen to them. To normalize the volume between the SFX and the BGM, it is recommended to set both controls to 8/8 and just lower PPSSPP's global volume to around 10-11% in the Windows Audio Panel, since FMVs and plain Atrac3 audio levels aren't affected by those controls at the moment. That is a consequence of this commit, which essentially widened the range from 1-5 in previous builds to 1-8 since then for both BGM and SE Volume levels:- https://github.com/hrydgard/ppsspp/commi...1490ae251c PPSSPP Modern Testbed:- Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz 16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz Windows 7 x64 SP1 PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:- Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz 8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz Windows 7 x64 SP1 |

ZZ's map will very lag if you don't enable the "frameskip".
It's this. |

(08-11-2013 01:02 PM)denslife16 Wrote: theres a partial english patch v1 by kenma9123 of this game Not necessary for a fighting (?) game like this. Besides it only translates menus and unit names and most of them are pretty much self explanatory. Unless if they can translate most of the NEXTPLUS mode and those mission objectives, but the project's been buried ever since. |
