Epic framerate with Fraps ?
Hello everyone.

I'm sorry if I don't post in the right section.

I'm here to disscuss about my problem and try to solve it...

Actually, when I play any game, it works very well on my PC, 60 fps etc.. But when I activate Fraps to record something, it's still good for like 3-2 minutes and after, I have a 30 sec or even 1 minute of epic lag.

The framerate goes to 30 FPS but when I control my character it is very very slow and the sound begins to be very noisy and bad. So I can't record with that...

I've a quite good PC, so I don't think it comes for here. It does it with all my games in PPSSPP only.

Anyone have a clue to solve this ?

Thank you and have a good day !

Welcome.

Don't use FRAPS, it bogs down your CPU and kills performance even on decent PCs.

Use MSI Afterburner instead (it's free).

If you must use FRAPS, make sure you're recording footage to a different hard drive, don't use the same hard drive you're running PPSSPP from.

PPSSPP Modern Testbed:-
Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz
16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:-
Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz
ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz
8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

RE: Filming with PpSsPp
There's already a lot of threads about recording, do a search before creating another Smile
