PPSSPP works really well on Shield too. Not all games run full speed but it's faster than most phones.

In benchmark, the Shield was better than Galaxy S4. It did 32.000 on AnTuTu. The S4 did 25.000.

As much as I would love to get a Shield, I also have plans to upgrade my phone. I wonder if the snapdragon 800 could produce better results than the tegra 4 inside the shield

RE: Project Shield and PPSSPP. Anyone excited about it?
dont think playing ppsspp on the shield is such a huge deal because the psp is already mobile, but on ouya and other devices that have a big screen display, it is interesting.
ofcourse playing it on ze schield is having better quality in terms of graphics but, to me atleast, it isnt as apealing as playing on my tv. *~* You can get the weeny out of the war, but you cannot get the war out of the weeny *~* [email protected] - 8gb ddr3 - gtx 970 - windows 7 *~* i am really good at English, but it isn't my native language :3 |

(08-26-2013 10:21 AM)SNESFAN Wrote: newest video Awesome videos SNESFAN. Can you try loading EPSXE or FPSE while using the OpenGL plugin? I'd love to see what performance the Shield gets with using a hardware video plugin for psx emulation. |
