Simply because the Android port is buggy.

No, I meant no port is as good as the original code.

Ahah, but they are all using the same code to render the graphics...

Guys, that's a nonsense: that's not a port, they're coding the emulator at the same time to make it compatible on different platforms.

RE: should we see the same thing on both pc and smartphone
The x86 one is better in emulation because it's the only one with JIT right now.
However, all the ports should have the same graphics. I have a lot of devices (Android tablet, Blackberry tablet, etc) so I will be able to test this out for you and possibly fix whatever is causing this graphic corruption. It could also be because you're using an older build on that Android device (0.1?). Will report back soon. Edit: So I ran this game, Pinball Fantasies, on an Android tablet and a Blackberry tablet and I see the graphics in perfect condition. It appears the same as on PC. I can't get past the screen that says "Pinball Fantasies. Game designed by the Silents. Ported and published by Cowboy Rodeo. Programming by Andreas Axelsson ..." though. Music plays fine. Pressing triangle shows the in-game controls. Screenshot: |

Ahah, this is what I guessed... Well, I'm running v0.2 on my Xperia play 2.3.4... Maybe I need ics? To get the new adreno driver?
Edit: it seems that I can't run this game anymore on my Xperia play... All I get is the music and the graphic glitch... No text or image appear... Edit2: I installed chainfire3d to check if the graphic are better rendered and no change at all ^^ however, it's seem that the game are a little bit faster! |
