RE: Benchmarking your device with PPSSPP
System CPU(and speed in ghz/mhz): 1 ghz
System RAM: 512 mb System GPU type: PowerVR 540 System OS: Android (ICS 4.0.4) CM9 System device type(PC, Tablet, Phone, other): Samsung Captivate Cpu doesn't seem to matter much since I overclocked and underclocked it(400-1400 mhz) and still got the same result. Although in games overclocking helps a bit. Maybe if I overclock gpu, it will give me more speed. But I heard that in some phones cpu and gpu are linked and thus overclocking cpu - speeds up gpu. Samsung Captivate, Android 2.3.5 SAUROM, Corn Kernel v701 Fly Evo Chic 3, Android 4.4.2 Stock, improved stock kernel |

RE: Benchmarking your device with PPSSPP
System CPU(and speed in ghz/mhz): Intel Core i7 980x @ 4.57 GHz System RAM: 12 GB DDR3 System GPU type: AMD Radeon HD 5850 1GB GDDR5 System OS: Windows 7 SP1 x64 System device type(PC, Tablet, Phone, other): PC/Desktop Incredible how Geforce drivers and architectures in general are less CPU bond than their AMD counterparts. Look at the CPU clock I need to get this score. I run my CPU daily at 4.22 GHz, at my daily clocks, my score is much lower: My VGA is a little old, I have a Geforce GTX 770 on the way. I hope to see a big improvement on the score. @daxtsu: Did you use XP Mode? Your windows UI is very classic looking. Disabling aero didn't yeld any improvement on my scores. |

RE: Benchmarking your device with PPSSPP
Donel: pretty sure that's Windows 8 in his screenshot, but solarmystic's looks like classic.

True, I think I got cofused with solarmystic's screen just above.
Is Windows 8 performance any better for single threaded applications? |

@Donel and @[Unknown]
Yep, my Core 2 rig is on the Windows 7 classic skin. No Aero or other visual enhancements allowed. As you've observed performance becomes really, really CPU limited at lower rendering resolutions required for the test. (2X RR) The P4 is obviously on XP SP3. PPSSPP Modern Testbed:- Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz 16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz Windows 7 x64 SP1 PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:- Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz 8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz Windows 7 x64 SP1 |

RE: Benchmarking your device with PPSSPP
Heh, cube.elf is probably the worst emulation benchmark around. It does nearly no emulation processing, it will measure the fillrate of your GPU, pretty much.

I think a game like the demo of Ridge Racer 2 could be a great Benchmarking tool. |

Do you have problems running games with it? GTA VCS doesn't run with it (shows black and glitched screen), I guess buffered rendering is not really compatible with ATI cards. |
