I didn't notice the demo section. Also, I'm reuploading the demo to a faster host; the site I got it off of was terribly slow.

What exactly makes this demo of the same game work but the full version falter?

Back in 2010/2011 you had to sign up to get it, but yeah, it was free(as in no monetary cost).

The fact that this demo works is a really good sign. hopefully this will help figure out the problem with the full version and why it black screens after character creation. Thanks OP!

It doesn't work, and it never will until that one function is implemented, or until Mattweb comes back to tell us how to "decrypt data", whatever that means. The only options are the HD version(hopefully it'll be merged soon) or this demo.
