RE: Final Fantasy
Sorry to bump an old thread, but why create a new when one already exists for the game Tongue

(Edit: Whoops, forgot to mention, playing the android version on LG Nexus 4)
I can't seem to get in-game saves (as opposed to emulator saves) to work, I've tried on v0.7.5-3-gd1dbace and a previous build (which I unfortunately don't recall, i might update later when i go through my downloads once i remember if i downloaded straight to android or to computer then transferred it)

when you select save, select a state, then confirm, it says The Game Data has been Saved and shows the party, then when you press O to go back, the save disappears. Anyone else noticed this?

I've also noticed a bit of lag on the overworld which doesn't appear when in a town or dungeon (granted, with Turbo added to Android this isn't much of an issue as i can just use that to make it smooth again)

RE: Final Fantasy
I spent a lot of time and identified the issue with the saves, but fixing it properly without breaking other games is harder.

Follow the saga here:

In opening cinematics, audio is fine, but video is stuttery

RE: Final Fantasy 1
This is a real minor issue that doesn't affect gameplay, but reporting it in case it's an issue that's somthing more drastic in another game.

Every time the background music soundtrack ends and begins it's loop again (on any song, from the character creation, to the world map), there's a sudden loud spike of noise that lasts less than a second. Like a scratching record.

RE: Final Fantasy 1
Just booted up PPSSPP for Android and Final Fantasy 1 wanted to update this thread to what I'm experiencing.

First off, it boots up and runs smoothly. The game itself seems to have very little problem.

The opening video runs fine but sound is almost unbearable with stutter.

Getting in game (character creation) worked no problem, got in game went into town, music was a bit fuzzy, but not bad, no lag at all. Saw the king, no lag or real bad sound issues.

It was at this point that I first walked on the worldmap and realized there's a ton of lag on the world map and the sound is horrible (related, I believe). I didn't see anyone else above mention this. It's playable, especially if you don't have the sound on very loud, but slow.

I know sound issues (especially on Android) are a known issue, but thought I'd still share them.

My main issue comes with the fact I'm not using the touchscreen to control and there is no way to map buttons, but I'm sure that's something that is in the works, so no complaints about it.

I'll post again if I run into any other problems or if future builds bring more stabilization as I play through it!

*EDIT* So I was reading that Frame Skipping can increase FPS and thought maybe the sound issue was being caused by low FPS. Sure enough I enabled it, set it to AUTO, and the sound problem on the worldmap disappeared! It also fixed the sound issue on the opening video.
One thing to add is that this did cause slightly less smooth movement/video play, but it's still an improvement over the sluggish way it felt before. I'm guessing this is more of an issue of the emulator now than anything else and can only get better over time!

RE: Final Fantasy 1
Everything works perfectly for me on ppssppWindows64 v0.8. Saving and loading in-game works. Intro cinematic including audio works with the at3plusdecoder64.DLL. Without the at3 plugin you only get sound fx but no cinematic audio or background music.
