RE: Hopefully a not too stupid question
Thanks.. apparently it's a 'bogus iso' which is odd as it's my own game.
Is there a specific format the games have to be to work..?

Try to upload the image somewhere like imageshack and add it with "Insert Image" option.

Edit - To the opening poster.

If you have previously managed to boot and play a game in Windows 7, can you please tell me which exact revision you're using. Thanks. Smile

I've been running PPSSPP since day one on Windows 7 x64 and I haven't occured an issue like that one.
The issue is something else.

This is good news for me, there is hope Heart

I've never been able to boot a game in Windows 7. I must be doing something wrong, or there is something else wrong. I've got access to both a PC and laptop running Windows 7 and it works on neither of them. Undecided

Check what those PCs have in common from hardware to software. Try a fresh installation of Windows too. I bet there is something wrong on the software side.

RE: Hopefully a not too stupid question
They don't share the same hardware, but do share some of the same software. Now I know someone else has it working on Windows 7 I'll dig deeper to get to the root of the problem. Ok, thanks. Smile

RE: Hopefully a not too stupid question
Works fine for my 64-bit Win7 when it crashes on yours is there any warning prompt.
There is a way to create a crash log for a program in windows that might help in figuring out what is happening. I can't remember the exact steps but there should be a tutorial somewhere on the web.

Windows 7 64bit, AMD Phenom II 840T 4 cores @ 2.9GHZ, 6 GB Ram
Graphics card-ATI Radeon HD 4200

Yuandao N101 (Jelly Bean)-RK3066, Dual core A9 @ 1.6 GHz, Mali-400 GPU, 1GB Ram, 10.1"

RE: Hopefully a not too stupid question
PPSSPP boot up then within five seconds "PPSSPP has stopped working"

It says it's BEX Event problem and so on, I have been through procedures to solve it before but gave up after staying up for seven days and seven nights trying. I think at that final point if PPSSPP had booted up and worked and said to me "Look, I now work, I'm a good boy really" I would have deleted it out of revenge. Big Grin

RE: Hopefully a not too stupid question
Can you try something? Try to run it on Windows XP Service Pack 3 and Windows Server 2008 (Service Pack 1) and if it returns the same error then its a software or driver error.
Give me also the full specs of your setups.
