Hopefully a not too stupid question

I'm trying to play an iso of Daxter on the latest Windows build, but my system completely freezes (can't even ctrl/alt/delete) when i load the game.
What am i doing wrong..?

Thanks.. apparently it's a 'bogus iso' which is odd as it's my own game.
Is there a specific format the games have to be to work..?

you have memory leak if the iso appears as 'bogus'.I have the same problem with toy story 3 iso and windows 8 and system is crawiling whenever i load it & memory load can reach 2.5 gb

I've been running PPSSPP since day one on Windows 7 x64 and I haven't occured an issue like that one.
The issue is something else.

I've never been able to boot a game in Windows 7. I must be doing something wrong, or there is something else wrong. I've got access to both a PC and laptop running Windows 7 and it works on neither of them.

Check what those PCs have in common from hardware to software. Try a fresh installation of Windows too. I bet there is something wrong on the software side.

They don't share the same hardware, but do share some of the same software. Now I know someone else has it working on Windows 7 I'll dig deeper to get to the root of the problem. Ok, thanks.

Works fine for my 64-bit Win7 when it crashes on yours is there any warning prompt.
There is a way to create a crash log for a program in windows that might help in figuring out what is happening. I can't remember the exact steps but there should be a tutorial somewhere on the web.

PPSSPP boot up then within five seconds "PPSSPP has stopped working"

It says it's BEX Event problem and so on, I have been through procedures to solve it before but gave up after staying up for seven days and seven nights trying. I think at that final point if PPSSPP had booted up and worked and said to me "Look, I now work, I'm a good boy really" I would have deleted it out of revenge.

Can you try something? Try to run it on Windows XP Service Pack 3 and Windows Server 2008 (Service Pack 1) and if it returns the same error then its a software or driver error.
Give me also the full specs of your setups.
