RE: [v0.6.1] Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker

Game version(US/JP/EU/WWE): US
File format(ISO/CSO/EBOOT): ISO
Version: Pre v0.8 (v0.7-243)

Darn, really?! Well, maybe they'll find what that was and optimize in later builds, thanks for the info!

RE: [v0.6.1] Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker
Since this game doesn't have a proper log yet, here's an updated compatibility report:
Software/Game tested: Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker
Game version(US/JP/EU/WWE): US
File format(ISO/CSO/EBOOT): ISO
Version: 0.7-443 (x64 build)
OS: Windows 7 x64
Compatibility level(nothing/intro/menus/ingame/playable): Menus
Other info: Data install(required) results in: "Failed to install data. The Memory Stick may be corrupted." It seems to not have a current directory, thus ending up trying to write to the ISO/UMD(am I interpreting this log right?), which it can't do:
Code:
36:15:238 kfs io1      I[HLE]: FileSystems\DirectoryFileSystem.cpp:289 Actually opening E:\Programming\Development\PC\ppsspp\ppsspp\memstick\PSP\SAVEDATA\ULUS10509DAT\TEMP0000.PW1 (/PSP/SAVEDATA/ULUS10509DAT/TEMP0000.PW1)
36:15:238 kfs io1      E[HLE]: FileSystems\DirectoryFileSystem.cpp:369 DirectoryFileSystem::OpenFile: FAILED, 32 - access = 1
36:15:238 kfs io1      E[HLE]: HLE\sceIo.cpp:1128 ERROR_ERRNO_FILE_NOT_FOUND=sceIoOpenAsync(ms0:/PSP/SAVEDATA/ULUS10509DAT/TEMP0000.PW1, 00000001, 00000000) - file not found
36:15:255 kfs io1      W[HLE]: FileSystems\MetaFileSystem.cpp:186 Path is relative, but current directory not set for thread 306. Should give error, instead falling back to disc0:/PSP_GAME/USRDIR
36:15:255 kfs io1      W[HLE]: HLE\sceIo.cpp:1069 Could not move ms0:/PSP/SAVEDATA/ULUS10509DAT/TEMP0000.PW1 to VOICEPS.PDT

RE: [v0.6.1] Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker
Hmm, data install is required? That's not implemented yet, the game might think it's working when it doesn't.

Yes, a 30 megabyte data install is -required- for MGS Peace Walker to even play. Also, if you want codec calls to have voices, the 300MB data install is further required.

RE: [v0.6.1] Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker
Does it work if you copy over installed data (and save data too?) from a real PSP, or even jPCSP, to PPSSPP's memstick folder?

RE: Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker
Even if it works on an ancient revision like that, you'd still have glitches/slowdowns, surely, right?
