As far as I remember, if you buy both games, you should be able to transfer save between them.
If however you download a pirated copy of at least one of those games modified to run on ancient firmware you will not be able to do that as one game will not recognize the other. http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=6594 - Custom PPSSPP Shaders! http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=3590&pid=117172#pid117172 - simple CE scripts to help creating CWCheats, https://github.com/LunaMoo/PPSSPP_workarounds - CWCheat workarounds. |

Thank you!
and I use a pirated copy. Now I understand the difference between the pirated copy and the original. I found the monster hunter freedom because it resembles the monster hunter on the ps2 I used to play. I want to ask you something more? Are the versions I find on the net all pirated copies or copies from someone's original is shared? |

RE: can't import characters data from Monster Hunter Freedom (MHFD) to MHFD2?
Pirating means providing/using illegal copy, it has nothing to do with modifying games, however PSP where piracy was widespreed most pirated games might be bad/incomplete dumps and/or modified to run on outdated firmware. Nobody can tell you if all illegal copies are bad or not, there might be games where that's true just as there will be games which were never pirated.
Overall PPSSPP can't detect modified/pirated games in any way because of various formats games might be stored with various compression algorithms and even if that would not be a problem, it would require database which on it's own could end up corrupted by people downloading crap from the net or not being able to make proper backups. The only way to be sure you get a proper copy is to get it from official sources aka buying umd and dumping it using psp with modern CFW or buying a copy of PS Store and extracting PBP file from the pkg. Whenever savedata from the modified game could be read by unmodified/original copy to get it fixed is also unknown. The whole thing could be messing with encryption in which case decrypted saves could work, but it might be changing something else within the save in which case it probably would never work. MH savedata import is overrated anyway, the progression of this series with PSP on the west is pretty much MHF->MHFU which doesn't do much, then in japan it's also MHp2ndG(japanese MHFU with some extras)->MHp3rd where the last one doesn't even transfer anything useful and just provides rewards(and even more rewards from a savedata of some MH spin off game). Most likely you played modified MHF so that doesn't help if you really care, but I would skip MHF2 entirely at this point in time since it's just an early version of MHFU, it's common practice of such games to release an enhanced version later on just as we have: - God Eater -> God Eater Burst -> God Eater Ressurection, - God Eater 2 -> God Eater 2 Rage Burst(worth mentioning both GE2RB and GER are in april's humble bundle which can be bought for just like 5 more days;p), - Toukiden -> Toukiden Kiwami. Overall the last release will have everything previous releases had + more or even much more content and fixes/enhancements and that's exactly same with MHF2 & MHFU. If you would have same problem importing F2 savedata to FU you would have to replay everything you did in F2 again as it contains same game;p. http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=6594 - Custom PPSSPP Shaders! http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=3590&pid=117172#pid117172 - simple CE scripts to help creating CWCheats, https://github.com/LunaMoo/PPSSPP_workarounds - CWCheat workarounds. |

The sharing of any game is illegal. All of those sites are offering pirated games. There is no legal place to download PSP games except from sony's PSN store. You can buy physical copies dirt cheap all over the internet though.
