App not saving settings

I'm having trouble trying to change some settings in the app. Every time I restart it, they are changed to default. Example: language, or trying to change the app to Vulkan.

I'm using the android version with an LG G6. Any help appreciated

Of course you did press the "Give PPSSPP permission to access storage" button?

I have seen some weird issues like this where that doesn't really work until you reboot the device. No idea what causes it...

Could also try to delete /PSP/SYSTEM/ppsspp.ini, let me know if that helps, because if so, it's possible for that file to get bad permissions somehow...
