AdHocLocal build spinning camera
[Solved] Long story short, How do I stop my camera from spinning when using two [controllers]?
Okay, So I downloaded a custom build of ppsspp somewhere called AdHoc Local that allows for multiple instances of ppsspp to connect via adhoc from the same network, or even computer. I have no network issues thus far, and controller support has been fine, except for one issue. The left analog stick causes the camera to spin uncontrollably in MHP3rd at seemingly random points in time. I'm using two logictech F310 controllers set to "Direct Input" (as Xinput on either causes only one to be registered at a time) but I don't think the controller is the issue. After some Experimentation, I've narrowed down what exactly causes the camera to Freak out. Whenever both controllers turn the camera the same way at the same time, only one of them can successfully stop registering input, causing the other to simply continue spinning. I have tried adjusting dead zones and neither instance of ppsspp registers the same controller as mapped inputs, so I believe I could fix this by making each instance of ppsspp completely ignore the other [controller / analog stick] entirely. It does not matter if the controller is not mapped, ppsspp still 'queries' input for it (at least in the main menu.) However, I do not know if this is possible. I fully realize that I am using an unofficial build not meant for actually playing, and because of that, I cannot simply update if this issue has been addressed (why would it be if ppsspp doesnt officially support more than one instance at once though. If that changes, please tell me) Another possible fix would be contingent upon the computer considering it a 3rd [controller] when both register the same value (i.e. [Analog] stick z axis Released or something) , for which the fix would be to make it stop doing that. If anyone knows how to fix this "Spinning camera issue" I would really appreciate your help. Thank you. Edits: Terminology and [Solved] thanks to ZeroX4 |

RE: AdHocLocal build spinning camera
i dont know how to fix your problem but i do know a way or two to bypass it more or less
before you try anything below i have idea of what can help you cause i had little different problem with two different controllers but they are both the same models my ones on other hand only recognized 1st controller detected by pc 2nd was visible by any game/program but did not receive any input from them you need to find your controller in control panel and do this (im on windows 7 and for me its) > start > control panel > devices and printers > right click on one of gamepads icon (DO IT ONLY FOR ONE OF THEM) > game controller settings > advanced > OK after that both controllers work just fine for me with everything if that wont help other things you can trey are 1 is x360ce from my signature download it and go to youtube to check how to set it right and do it only for ONE ppsspp and only ONE controller 2nd if you can live without analog movement and you can switch to digital (idk if MH is using smooth camera movement or digital so whatever) antimicro from my signature can help you Try AntiMicro graphical program used to map keyboard keys and mouse controls to a gamepad/controller. http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=12513 or http://www.x360ce.com |

Thank you so much for the reply. Better yet, It should work for any number of people. I set up one of the controllers in one ppsspp folder, and set all other controllers to 'pass-through.' Then I did the same for the second ppsspp folder with the other controller active. They only registered the controller that was set up for that programs folder (I don't know if they were supposed to but whatever works) It's exactly what I asked for, a way for each program to only register one joystick at a time, and ignore any others. |

RE: AdHocLocal build spinning camera
i remember a day when i read a post where one idiot from here told me im here just promoting some stupid 3rd party controller programs
well guess promoting them was worth it after all im glad it works for you btw joystick have stick like im helicopter or aircraft > google joyestick and choose graphic to understand difference we are using controllers but thats just side note Try AntiMicro graphical program used to map keyboard keys and mouse controls to a gamepad/controller. http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=12513 or http://www.x360ce.com |
