Control problem
I'm using PPSSPP 1.2.2 for PC with gamepad.
All the games with camera control(d-pad moves the character and analog stick turns the camera), for instance, Armored core - Silent line portable or Motorstorm show the same bug: d-pad and stick work simultaneously for some reason, no matter what control settings are. Example: I press "forward" on d-pad and camera pitches up, I press "backward" and I see nothing but the ground. I'm sure there is some setting which will fix it, but which one? P.S.: Android version doesn't have this problem. |

RE: Control problem
PPSSPP default mapping will fit most popular xinput and dinput gamepads, but can't really work with everything out of the box since not every gamepad follow same standards.
Just go to Controls->Control mapping where you can clear all default controls and set it to whatever fits the gamepad you have. If you started by setting custom mapping, but without replacing or removing default ones then that could be your problem to begin with. If it continues to be a problem, you can also access test analogs screen there which shows what buttons PPSSPP detects you're pressing which might be useful in providing information what's actually happening as some devices are just weird and there's too much variety on pc's to really guarantee everything working for everyone. http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=6594 - Custom PPSSPP Shaders! http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=3590&pid=117172#pid117172 - simple CE scripts to help creating CWCheats, https://github.com/LunaMoo/PPSSPP_workarounds - CWCheat workarounds. |

I ment the first one, then setting just gamepad and nothing else manually, but maybe I worded it badly. I can't imagine in what situation having just one controls mapped activating more at once unless you're intentionaly using some third party software or your gamepad comes with some additional software/drivers/input emulator that try to be smart, but end up doing something wrong. What does "test analogs" screen I mentioned earlier shows when pressing d-pad? http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=6594 - Custom PPSSPP Shaders! http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=3590&pid=117172#pid117172 - simple CE scripts to help creating CWCheats, https://github.com/LunaMoo/PPSSPP_workarounds - CWCheat workarounds. |

I kept that(keyboard emulator) in mind as a last resort, but had a hope to solve it by just changing some setting. Thx, anyway. |

Ok, I'll explain it more detailed. My joystick doesn't work with default settings at all. So i tried following variants: 1)Just add my joystick's buttons manually in Control mapping without deleting anything from there. 2)In the same menu, clear all and then add joystick's buttons so there's nothing but what's been added by me. But both of them gave me the same result. Test analog screen sees no differences between stick and d-pad - same axis, same value, same Device ID. Control mapping does neither(screenshot). |

Is it the only possible solution? meh ok i didnt read ur original post too careful in gamepads there exist analog and digital mode in diigital mode analog and dpad serves the same purpose and share axises but in ANALOG mode they are separate controls what u need to do is find analog button like this gamepads got button named analog http://cdn.shopclues.net/images/detailed...9_zoom.jpg http://proline.pl/pic/natec-genesis-pv44_0.jpg but this got white button called MODE http://img.playground.ru/images/1/8/cont...042013.jpg but they all do 1 and the same thing switch from digital to analog mode and vice-versa u just need to press/enable that button on ur gamepad and it will work and then u map ur controls this button also can be called home or connect or anything it really depends on ur gamepad if u still have a problem give me full name of ur gamepad Try AntiMicro graphical program used to map keyboard keys and mouse controls to a gamepad/controller. http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=12513 or http://www.x360ce.com |

RE: Control problem
Sorry for the long waiting, the problem finally solved!
ZeroX4, it was a great help! The advice about switching modes is the same advice that is being given all over the internet. But no one(except you) mentioned the action order: FIRST you press the analog button, and ONLY THEN set up the controls. |

RE: Control problem
well since its kinda obvious u cant register axises from analog mode while ur on digital mode many ppl dont consider that
its same as if u want make CAPITAL letters and u need to go to capital mode via capslook or shift to register that in game/emulator but im happy u got it working now Try AntiMicro graphical program used to map keyboard keys and mouse controls to a gamepad/controller. http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=12513 or http://www.x360ce.com |
