Need help before installing PPSSPP
Hi! Newbie here.
I read the requirements needed for PPSSPP to work smoothly. I just wanted to hear your opinions before I install PPSSPP on my laptop. So, here are my specs: Intel® Core i3-4030U CPU @ 1.90GHz 1.90GHz 2GB Ram Open GL 4.2.0 I am not really confident with my specs so I'm posting here just to make sure if it will run good or not. Though, if it will work smoothly, can I run these games? GE: Burst FF: Crisis Core and Dissidia Tekken 6 THANKS EVERYONE! |

RE: Need help before installing PPSSPP
Well it's weak for a pc, but let's be optimistic - it's still faster than "s" and "i" potatoes and I belive all the games you listed can be played on mobiles, so it should not be much of a problem without even using any of the game breaking speedhacks.
Should probably be fine even with some graphic enhancing features like higher rendering res, maybe some texture scaling, just don't try to set either too high as those two will easily multiply game requirements and you're probably stuck with integrated graphics which is very limiting. Tekken might be more demanding than the rest you listed, but on the bright side, if your hardware can run it at full speed, you should have no problems with most other psp games since more demanding ones are actually quite rare. http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=6594 - Custom PPSSPP Shaders! http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=3590&pid=117172#pid117172 - simple CE scripts to help creating CWCheats, https://github.com/LunaMoo/PPSSPP_workarounds - CWCheat workarounds. |

RE: Need help before installing PPSSPP
Hi! Sorry for the late reply. I see then. If I decided to run it on an android device, wil Samsung Galaxy S3 run it just fine? Especially the games I mentioned.

RE: Need help before installing PPSSPP
Ugh, I called mobiles potatoes to encourage you, but since you now ask about mobile that turned wrong;p.
Not without reason through ~ most mobiles have really bad drivers which makes them even slower than they could be and all mobile gpu's have some serious faults and bottlenecks which cause glitches and ruin performance except maybe newer Nvidia chips like K1/X1, but those are too big for smartphones and are only in very few bigger android devices. It's really hard to say as each android device is different and their specs itself doesn't say much without testing, so just try, at least some less demanding games should work decently, eventually with some speedhacks or frameskipping. Also maybe sometime next year PPSSPP will support new API called Vulkan which as most people hope will improve performance on many android devices and hopefully also open a road for new fixes and general improvements, not sure if older smartphones like S3 will support it, but it's certainly something worth waiting for. http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=6594 - Custom PPSSPP Shaders! http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=3590&pid=117172#pid117172 - simple CE scripts to help creating CWCheats, https://github.com/LunaMoo/PPSSPP_workarounds - CWCheat workarounds. |
