Lower resolution for effects (reduces artifacts) option is grayed out, not available

"Lower resolution for effects (reduces artifacts)" option is grayed out, not available. Why? My phone is Galaxy S2 i9100. I assume if I could change it, it would increase the perfromrance of games which is important for Galaxy S2.

It works by running things like bloom effects at 1x. If you are already rendering at 1x, it won't do anything and is thus disabled. Maybe this could be made clearer...
