It's no where near the mid end offerings from either. There's nothing wrong with that if it's priced accordingly, but Intel has a history of having bad or insuffient OpenGL drivers. And that GPU will not make it into any mobile Android device as it's power envelope is too high. |

RE: Tegra X1
Hm, for me it's very close to mid-end gpus, I saw it running BF4 in high settings in fps above 30. The R7 260x which is a mid-end card can handle it in high settings above 60 fps.
Phones: Poco F3 8GB/256GB (Snapdragon 870 5G) and Redmi Note 6 Pro 4/64GB (Snapdragon 636) PC: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 / 16GB RAM DDR4 3600MHz / NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti 6GB / Windows 10 Pro |

Here is a comparison with BF3 and the GPU is compared to Nvidia's high low end 650m/640 cards. http://www.anandtech.com/show/6993/intel...-tested/10 |

RE: Tegra X1
There're a lot of low end card which can't even get close to 30 fps.

But for anything OpenGL, it's going to do comparatively worse than it's counterparts on the other side. Their D3d drivers have improved a lot since the GMA days though. |

RE: Tegra X1
Hm, it's still worse than my GTX 650, as I've seen at the link you posted, it can run BF3 in medium at 40-50 fps, on my GTX 650 with only 2Gb of RAM and Celeron processor, I get 60+ fps. High settings I still get 40+ fps.

RE: Tegra X1
Just been reading about the Tegra X1... and I'm not impressed when comparing it to snapdragon 810. Nvidia was just brainwashing us with marketing tricks into making it seem like the X1 is a superchip.
It is good, no doubt... But once it is underclocked for tablets/phones.. It is like any other chip inside a smartphone or tablet. The snapdragon actually has more cores (qualcomm 288 vs. 256 TX1) and performs better in mobiles. Mind you.. The X1 is mainly marked for there cars; not smartphones. So conclusion... Fu*k this tegra chip, imma get a smartphone with a snapdragon 810. |

RE: Tegra X1
Tegra chips are slows going go be better. Who cares about cores when snapdragon is buggy as hell. I'm sure you said the same thing last year about the k1 but look at it now against snapdragon.

RE: Tegra X1
Yes, until they fix the buggy drivers, Spandragon still will be shi*.

RE: Tegra X1
Here's an unconfirmed preliminary development board benchmark of the Adreno 430 GPU inside the Snapdragon 810 SOC.
http://gfxbench.com/compare.jsp?benchmar...let&cols=2 Compared to the Tegra K1 or try to compare it to other SOCs with the menu. Offscreen results are interesting especially for Driver overhead. Surpisingly, that's actually improved a lot since the Snapdragon 805(Adreno 420). No where near X1 expected performance levels though on the Manhatten(ES3.0) benchmark. Not looking good for the Snapdragon 810 with Adreno 430 GPU. http://gfxbench.com/compare.jsp?benchmar...let&cols=2 That's an actual testing device. It's scores are well below the K1 and driver overhead is still craptastic in comparison. Seems like the scores are lower than the development board results. Which could mean they had to lower the clocks to get it into the LG device. |

RE: Tegra X1
Now here's an interesting benchmark comparison.
http://gfxbench.com/compare.jsp?benchmar...%29&cols=2 The Tegra X1 is about 2x faster than the K1 in Manhatten OpenGLes3 test. Only that one test was run. |

I know this is the wrong thread but I lost my galaxy s5 this week and needed a replacement asap and cheap, I chose the huawei y550 , it houses a snapdragon 410 and adreno 306 gpu.. and is also 64bit capable, what you guys think?

Go for asus zenphone 5 around same price tag with better specs. |

RE: Tegra X1
Thanks but iv already purchased it.. besides I want LTE and the snapdragon 410 is future proof somewhat with a 64bit cpu.
zenfone 5 doesnt have LTE or a 64bit cpu. cheers anyway S TO DA G |
