How difficult is it to build a multiplayer function for PPSSPP?
Just out of curiosity.
The GBA emulator VBA-Link supports multiplayer functions. You can also connect two PSPs through internet via PC, with the help of PSPTunnel. Is it technically possible to do the same with PPSSPP, say emulating an AD HOC port for the games and connect it with MS loopback adapter, and make a PvP connection?
This should be the interest of many other players as well =)

RE: How difficult is it to build a multiplayer function for PPSSPP?
Coldbird's already working on porting his PRO online stuff to PPSSPP, so it's possible. At this time, however, PPSSPP doesn't and can't support multiplayer of any kind; it's forcing the WLAN switch to be off, and it tells games that no connections are available(though some ignore it anyway, like LittleBigPlanet, for whatever reason, causing crashes).

Awesome shit. If the PRO online part could be perfectly injected, this means u can play an multiplayer game between PPSSPP and an actual PSP with PRO HomeBrew? Can't wait.

In theory, yeah. I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Coldbird mentioned porting his PRO Online stuff in this topic.

He also made an issue on Github.

Not to rain on the parade, but I wouldn't expect to see it until fall, absolute minimum, since he has a really busy schedule currently. You know how these things go, it's done when it's done, and it's out when it's out.

Guess you missed the Adhoc forum?

Anyway, basic (beta, buggy) adhoc support's been added, so I'll lock this.
