Really, I tried to edit that, so that I didn't look quite so ignorant, but the edit never took, I guess.
Either way, there is a white magic spell called sight that gives you access to the map. I don't remember that in the SNES version. I thought it was start and select, and then PSP version you have to use the spell.

I seem to have broken it again. I finally got into underworld and then Cid says he's gonna break through the fight, says the ship is going down and then I get static, like an old television set without an antenna. And that was where everything froze.
Lemme see if I can get it to do it again with the logging on...
For what it's worth, I'm using 0.9.1 x86 on an AMD Phenom II triple core, win 7 64-bit.
