What does Extract File... in the Debug drop down menu do?
With the latest dev version, there is a new option called Extract File... which is in the drop down menu.

Can anyone explain what it does? Can it extract files from the game itself? Big Grin

It brings up a dialog box which asks you for a file name to extract from the ISO. It's mainly intended for debugging atrac3+ or PMF movie files, so you can extract them and play them in a player to make sure the ISO isn't corrupted, or to see what they should be sounding/looking like (or just for collection purposes I suppose, but that's not the original intent Tongue).

Thanks for the quick reply! Will this feature be made easier to use in the future?

Also, how would one go about finding out the file names? I tried some names that I know of from using a Memory Viewer on my PSP, buy whenever I try getting those files while running the same game, it always comes up in error.

I didn't write the feature myself, but I wouldn't count on it, it's a debugging tool, after all.

You could open up the ISO in a program like UMDGen and see what files it has. It'd definitely be nice if we had the ability to dump the list of filenames on the ISO to a file or the console window, though..

As for it not extracting, it's probably case sensitive. Make sure you're using capitals where the file name has capitals, too, if any.
