Synchronizing sound mode: Async (PCSX2 option)
Some games like Dragon Ball Tenkaichi Tag Team really benefits of increasing a little the fps lock of the game, because the game looks a little more faster and more fluid.
But , the problem is that the sound accelerates too , so, its a mess trying to play the game with that accelerated and cracking sound. Before, with the Media Engine sound option, you could increase the fps lock of the game and the sound always plays at the same original speed, but, with the new sound decoders this isnt possible anymore. I remember an option of the PCSX2 emulator that permits Async the sound of the game, so, even if the game has slowdonws or you increase the fps lock of the game , the sound speed will be always the same and normal like if you are playing the game at its original fps lock. Can you add a similar option to PPSSPP? PD: Sorry for my english |

RE: Synchronizing sound mode: Async (PCSX2 option)
This is a little tricky to do due to how synchronized the PSP audio generation is, but probably possible to do okay. I haven't implemented this yet because it has the same problem as it has in Dolphin and PCSX2, that it breaks synchronization between audio and video in many games (voices play earlier than movements and things like that). However I'm sure a lot of games will be fine with it too so maybe I'll add it one day..

Would be nice to have I agree, also on a completely different request, can you make shader (on/off) mappable to control input?

RE: Synchronizing sound mode: Async (PCSX2 option)
Hm, that will require separating "current chosen shader" with "shader enabled", as right now you choose the "Off" shader to not have a shader, and if we switch to that, there's no easy way "back" unless we store the last shader somewhere which gets ugly.
Maybe later. |

Okay thanks, it would be real handy for testing shader
