New at Cheat Engine...little help.

I thought I would finally find a place to ask someone. I have off and on looked at cheat engine and can figure out all but one part. Picking the process. I just don't understand when I see more than one iexplorer.exe and have always been afraid I would pick the wrong process, so I have never tried it. How do you know which one? Any help would be great. Who knows, I might try it someday...lol.
