Excellent emulator!!
I'm astounded that it runs so very well on my laptop. When I first found it, I thought it was made by Lulzsec like the 3DS Emulator aka Virus. But it definitely isn't, and I'm amazed that it runs *every* game I've tried, from Warriors Orochi, to Dissidea, from Assassin's Creed Brotherhood to MGS: Peace Walker. Smile

however, I do have a question:

When I load the emulator, I see a list of games in my Recently played list, which I think is a clever and excellent idea. (The entire scheme of this emulator is amazing, but it would take me days to explain all the reasons why.)

However, may I formulate a suggestion?

If possible, would a 'Library' feature be a possibility? I kinda thought that the Recent list was something like that, lol, but I notice that after the 12th game, the first game I added disappears. Ah well.

Also, I'm sure it's too soon to tell, but will you guys be working on other emulation projects some years down the line? I'd trust a 3DS emulator from you.

Thanks again for such an excellent program! Will donate when able. Smile

RE: Excellent emulator!!
It depend on which ppsspp version you use.
Since(I don't know which rev after 0.8.1-125)you have an option to choose how many games to see in the list(Settings=>System)

If you are using some version which don't have that option, just edit the ini file
MaxRecent =

Using PPSSPP on Windows 7 x64 SP1
i7 4771 3.5Ghz,GTX750TI,16GB RAM

RE: Excellent emulator!!
Or if you're feeling bold(and you're using a git build) you can add an entry under [General] called NewUI and set it to True, then use the Games tab to select a folder that can display all of your games(use the mouse wheel to scroll up/down).

4GHz AMD 3900X, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 6GB Nvidia RTX 2060, Asus Crosshair 7 Hero (Wifi), Linux

RE: Excellent emulator!!
Thank you so very much for your wonderful suggestions!

Vsub, I am using the 8.1 - 1055 build, released yesterday, I believe, or the day before. And I did indeed find the Max Recent setting in the Settings window!

Dax, thanks for your suggestion also! I'm sure I'll be trying that out as well as I download each updated emulator. Smile

RE: Excellent emulator!!
For black screen problems:
1.Switch to another buffered rendering mode or disable it
2.Use older ppsspp version
3.Wait for a fix

RE: Excellent emulator!!
Nikostratus: sorry if I'm invading your thread again, but opening a new one for an ignorant's (me, that is) problem might not look nice...!

Vsub_: it worked, thank you!! Buffered rendering disabled. Now...The games play very slow, but that's my laptop's fault, not PPSSPP's, as FMVs are PERFECT. Is there a way to set it faster, possibly at the expense of resolution?

My laptop's specs are as follows:

Toshiba Intel Core M 330 @ 2.13 GHz. So, might be a bit weak. But any help is welcome!

Thanks!

Have you already visited our one stop guide to resolving performance issues in PPSSPP?

http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5236

If you've done every single step in that guide and are still getting poor performance in the game, do reply and we'll see how we can help.

Do not skip a single step. Apply every single (relevant) one.

PPSSPP Modern Testbed:-
Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz
16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:-
Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz
ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz
8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

RE: Excellent emulator!!
Thank you! I've read the excellent guide. Ok, base speed is ok with 2 Frames. The flickering remains, though. Maybe it's because I didn't turn all background applications off? Thing is, I'm afraid to screw something up by doing so, since I'd have to reboot.

Thank you for your patient and effective support!
