No system data found in current storage media

I've been trying to play the first Corpse Party on v0.9.8 but it gets stuck at No system data found in the current storage media dialog and none of the two options do anything. I've checked ignore illegal read/write.
Any ideas?

Before you do what this thread says, MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR SAVE FILE.
