30fps, only 25% cpu... on a WATCH!
After some SNESdroid RPG action, I thought what the heck and installed PPSSPP (1.11.3) on my THor 4 android watch.
It's a low-midrange smartwatch about two years old, with a cheap CPU MTK6739 @ 1.5ghz, 1GB RAM. Setup screen streaming and pc keyboard control with scrcpy and ran Ao No Kiseki. Thought I'd share the results with you. http://0x0.st/-gyv.mkv (H265 Video 11.4MB) With a 320x320screen, it's rendering to 1x resolution. FPS only dropped below 30 on heavier spells like Aerial... All while streaming h264 Surfaceflinger was only using 7%, for a total of about 32-35% cpu use - emulating PSP! Now for comparison, VLC, only playing a 16kbps .opus audio file (no video) uses 15% and 12% surfaceflinger (wth?). AMAZING emulator Hydr. We are not worthy! |
